The process magictune.exe is an executable file that is pre-installed by the manufacturer Samsung Electronics Corporation in some models of the Samsung computer monitor. The software is a monitor calibration and configuration tool that is used to optimize the performance of the monitor. Configuration and calibration of the monitor is important, particularly to graphic designers, to enable them to see images as they are intended to be seen. Configuring the monitor include checking of the resolution to ensure that it is set at the "native" resolution, or at the highest possible resolution for the hardware. For systems operating with Windows, this can be done by right clicking on thje desktop and choosing Graphic Properties. Calibrating means adjusting the contrast and brightness controls. The operation can be done manually, or it can be done with software that details the stepwise instructions to optimize monitor performance.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. magictune.exe. is used by Samsung Monitor Driver Module, If you shut down magictune.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
