The magicjack.exe process is the executable file that runs the MagicJack software. MagicJack is a USB-type plug-in device that is currently widely used for making unlimited calls to the United States and Canada from anywhere in the world. MagicJack is a small rectangular device has a cable port on one side (where a standard phone jack or RJ-11 is plugged in), and a short USB “tail” on the other end which goes inserted to the USB port of the computer. MagicJack is a computer peripheral which, combined with the telephony service of YMAX Corporation, is providing a telephone service without the user having to spend a fortune to make overseas calls. A new product, MagicJack Plus, a “no computer required” version, has been released recently. The MagicJack device exclusively works with CLEC or Competitive Local Exchange Carrier, and YMAX, the company's landline supplier. The MagicJack data servers has a stored Voicemail that is delivered through direct phone access, and emailing services with audio file attachment capability.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. magicjack.exe. is used by MagicJack Plus, If you shut down magicjack.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop magicjack.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is MagicJack Plus, from your system.
