What is  mace.exe

The ATI Catalyst Control Center software is bundled with the firmware components and driver software utilities that are used by certain devices from ATI Technologies, and the mace.exe process is integrated as one of the components of the ATI Catalyst Control Center application. The mace.exe process is specifically deployed as an EXE application resource file of the Managed Access to Catalyst Environment module, which is an applet built into the ATI Catalyst control Center software. The mace.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the firmware utilities and driver software packages of the associated ATI device, which also means the mace.exe process along with the other components distributed with this EXE file are bundled into the installer distributions of these ATI drivers and firmware resources. Compatibility support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows is embedded into the mace.exe process, its associated component files and libraries, the ATI Catalyst Control Center software and the firmware utilities and driver software resources of these ATI devices.
