The executable process ma.exe is a TriaActive MicroAgent file that belongs to the software TriActive MicroAgent. TriActive MicroAgent is a patented technology that is utilized in TriActive's Systems Management Suite (TriActive Systems Manager). It is systems management software for managing desktop and server configurations for small to medium sized enterprises. It allows inputted data from a customer site to access other desktops or servers throughout the network for an enterprise, and access to the services in an Operations Center that is powered by the same technology. The features include asset discovery and management, software distribution, help/ service desk, self-service web portal, remote control, and many others that can assist an enterprise with multiple servicing sites to execute efficient inventory management and reporting. Data collection continues even when the service is off-line, and updating is automatically done when the service resumes. The TriActive MicroAgent technology is non-intrusive to other user desktop activities.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ma.exe. is used by TriActive MicroAgent, If you shut down ma.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ma.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is TriActive MicroAgent, from your system.
