What is  lwemon.exe

The lwemon.exe file is the executable process that activates and monitors the Logitech WingMan joystick applications and supports the gamepad. A joystick is a rotating stick that has a portable base and moves in left, right, up, and down directions to control a game. When activated, a system tray icon for Logitech joystick is displayed in the taskbar beside the system clock, which the user can disable or enable. The icon looks like a big “W” which the user can click on to customize settings and joystick behavior. The icon is viewable whether turned on or off. The user may utilize the joystick’s configuration in setting up its button functions. A malfunction warning message displays on the screen when the Logitech joystick is disabled. However, doing so does no ill-effect whatsoever on the system. Lwemon.exe is classified as a non-critical Windows component, and it can be disabled or removed or enabled and activated according to user preferences.
