Ltmoh.exe is the process file for Lucent Modem on Hold, a clean modem application which handles the incoming and outgoing data calls on a single telephone line while connected to the internet. It has a call waiting function and notifies the user of an incoming call, as well as providing the option whether to take or not to take the call, provided the user is connected to the internet. The ltmoh.exe process modifies the Windows initialization and the system settings utilized on startup, activating other related processes on the local disk. On the other hand it halts other unnecessary processes from the same disk. Ltmoh.exe hooks codes into all the running processes, allowing them to control the system and record keyboard input, screen display contents, and mouse activity. The Modem on Hold registers a DLL or a Dynamic Link Library file, adds a RUN or Registry Key command to auto-start the programs on computer startup.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ltmoh.exe. is used by Lucent Technologies, If you shut down ltmoh.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ltmoh.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Lucent Technologies, from your system.
