The lime.exe process is an executable program file that is used by the firmware utilities, driver software distributions and certain applications packaged with the Philips GoGear MP3 Player device. This means the lime.exe file is distributed alongside other EXE application processes, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, certain SYS driver utilities and specific background process items among various components that are used and referenced by Microsoft Windows whenever the Philips GoGear MP3 Player device is connected to the computer or is actively performing its embedded operations in the system as requested by the user. This also means the lime.exe process and these associated components are bundled into the installer distribution packages of the associated driver software utilities and firmware resources of the Philips GoGear MP3 Player device.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lime.exe. is used by Philips GoGear MP3 Player Firmware and Driver Software, If you shut down lime.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
