The file KMService.exe is also known as the kmservice.exe file. The file KMService.exe is used for cracking those pirated versions of the software mainly the Microsoft Office Software. The user will make the software activated even without paying for it, which could be considered as stealing. When scanned with an Anti-Virus program, this would normally be detected as a virus and would be removed from the Personal Computer. The file can be usually found in the C: Directory and under the Windows folder and has the file size of 151,622 bytes in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). But the file size may vary when used in different version of Operating Systems such as the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The file does not belongs to the Windows core system even though it is located in the Windows folder. The file kmservice.exe is not a visible program which means the user can not manipulate the behavior of the program. The program has the ability to connect to the Internet and as well as in the Local Area Network (LAN) by using ports.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. kmservice.exe. is used by KMServices, If you shut down kmservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
