The klnagent.exe process is the executable file for Kaspersky Security Center, a program developed by Kaspersky Lab. Not only Kaspersky Security Center is an Endpoint Security interface, it is also a dedicated control system which can be used as remote interface. Being a dedicated system control, Kaspersky Security Center contains tools that are designed for simultaneous management of large computer groups. Klnagent.exe or Kaspersky Lab Network Agent runs as a Windows background service, a system account that has extensive privileges in the local computer and represents the computer within a network. It is a program that can also be started by the Windows Service Controller run by service control protocol. Kaspersky Security Center is an advance protection management, a centralized management solution which enables the installation and administration of industrial anti-malware monitoring and reporting within a network’s application infrastructure. Kaspersky Lab Network Agent is a central solution that deploys, manages, and reports to endpoint applications of Kaspersky Lab Network on physical and virtual workstations, smartphones and servers on a network.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. klnagent.exe. is used by Kaspersky Administration Kit , If you shut down klnagent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop klnagent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Kaspersky Administration Kit , from your system.
