Award Keylogger (version 1.8) or Award Keylogger is the term used as the service name of the process kl.exe, which is a type of an executable or EXE file, and is a component of the software product labeled as Award Keylogger or Award Keylogger Pro, which is developed by OXD Software. Upon the installation of the program, the kl.exe file is downloaded onto the computer, where it is registered into the Windows registry, and added onto the file folder labeled as C:\Program Files, or C:\Windows, or C:\Documents and Settings. Like most modules, the kl.exe file is a Windows process, or in other words, it runs in most versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems,which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. kl.exe. is used by Award Keylogger or Award Keylogger Pro, If you shut down kl.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop kl.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Award Keylogger or Award Keylogger Pro, from your system.
