What is  kill.exe

Kill.exe is the process file for the computing command used in popular operating systems in sending signals to running programs to request termination of processes. The kill.exe process is used in the Unix and the Unix-like operating systems, which sends the signals to programs or program groups running in the system by referencing the numeric program IDs or PIDs or program group IDs or PGIDs. Kill.exe is provided as standalone utility specified by the POSIX standards. However, most shell components have built-in commands that slightly differ from the kill command. There are other signals which can be sent, and the two similar commands users find the most interesting are the terms Sigterm and Sigkill, with the Sigterm as the default signal. These processes cleanup operations like saving a configuration information into a file prior to quitting, although many programs are not implementing special handlers for this signal, thus a default handler is required instead.
