Whichever software product is housing the file, keylogger.exe runs in the background, since it is stored on a folder location, usually in C:\Program Files, C:\Documents and Settings, and registered into a Windows registry. Speaking of Windows, keylogger.exe is one of the components that definitely work with some or all versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, or simply called as Windows operating system, or Windows OS, which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 2000, and Windows NT. Once this file is running in the background, it must not be terminated or stopped, because it disables its function.
