The process called keyhook.dll, which is a type of dynamic link library or DLL, is a part of the program Microsoft Money version 2004, also in Sony Utilities DLL, or Yazzle, or Outerinfo, or Pinnacle MPEG Realtime Codec, which is developed by Microsoft Corporation. It is obviously a process that involves different software products, but regardless of the program that houses the file, it is essential to run in the background. Therefore, keyhook.dll, like other components, is registered into a Windows registry, stored on a file folder location, which is usually in C:\Program Files, or C:\Documents and Settings, and run as a background service. Also, is it a module that does not only provide or enable its function, but also executes other processes that are bundled within the software product. The keyhook.dll file is compatible with certain or all versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, or Windows OS, which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. keyhook.dll. is used by Sony Utilities DLL or Yazzle by OIN or Microsoft Money, If you shut down keyhook.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
