The jrunsvc.exe file is an EXE application process that is distributed alongside other executable program files, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, certain SYS driver utilities, specific background process items and various components, and these resources are used and referenced by the Macromedia JRun Application Server software. This also means the jrunsvc.exe process and these other Macromedia JRun Application Server components are used and referenced by Adobe applications that require the functionalities embedded in the Macromedia JRun Application Server program. The jrunsvc.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of these associated Adobe programs and the Macromedia JRun Application Server software. The jrunsvc.exe process is specifically deployed as a component of the JRun Service Controller module, which is an applet built into the Macromedia JRun Application Server software.
