The Java JAR loader is executed through the file jrun.exe. This process provides users with a tool to open archived files with extensions that are supported by the Java platform. With jrun.exe in place, the system can effectively organize Java source files and related resources into a single file for distribution of applications or libraries to the associated Java platform. No runtime errors were cited, but CPU usage of up to one hundred percent was reported several times. This means that the processes executed by jrun.exe overrode all other processes. No other significant data or information were found. There were also no reports of blue screen or computer crashes that specifically point to the jrun.exe. For the most part, users did not disable the file, even after experiencing high CPU usage. Once the memory issue was addressed, users found the program to be helpful in managing Java runtimes across the entire Java platform.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. jrun.exe. is used by ColdFusion JAR Launcher, If you shut down jrun.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop jrun.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ColdFusion JAR Launcher, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
