The ino_fltr.sys process is a system driver utility component that is used and referenced by the InoculateIt software from Computer Associates International. Also known as CA InoculateIt, this program is a Windows application that is classified as an antivirus tool with a set of features for monitoring, detecting and protecting Windows-based systems against viruses and other malware items with virus-like capabilities. The ino_fltr.sys process is specifically deployed as one of the components of the Computer Associates InoculateIt File System Filter Driver module, which is an applet built into the CA InoculateIt software. The ino_fltr.sys file is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of the CA InoculateIt program, which also means the ino_fltr.sys file is integrated into the installer distributions of the CA InoculateIt application.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ino_fltr.sys. is used by CA InoculateIt and Computer Associates InoculateIt File System Filter Driver Module, If you shut down ino_fltr.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ino_fltr.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CA InoculateIt and Computer Associates InoculateIt File System Filter Driver Module, from your system.
