The ijplmsvc.exe process is the executable file for Canon Pixma printers, the software for Canon communication driver services. Ijplmsvc.exe contains core service modules installed by the drivers to handle data transmission between the printer and the computer. The most common type of printer is the inkjet type. The Canon inkjet printer creates digital images by driving droplets of color or blank ink onto paper. Inkjet printers range from small and inexpensive consumer model types to industrial professional machines that cost thousands of dollars. Another type of printer is the laser printer. The Canon laser printer produces high-quality text and graphics. Laser printers work like multifunction printers and digital photocopiers by employing xerographic printing processes, differing from analog photocopiers. Laser printing is produced by a laser beam directly scanning an image across the photoreceptor of a printer. Like the laser printer, LED printer is a toner-based printer. Canon LED printer produces print thru an array of light-emitting diodides (LEDs) instead of laser beam to bring toner adhesion.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ijplmsvc.exe. is used by Canon Pixma, If you shut down ijplmsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ijplmsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Canon Pixma, from your system.
