Internet Download Manager, otherwise known as IDM, comes with the process file of idman.exe. This is a type of shareware that provides the client with a download manager for faster downloading of files, especially large batches of files. The software likewise provides users with the option to schedule their download and resume or pick up from where they left the download off, so that they will not have to begin the download process again from its original starting point. The software is from Tonec Inc. It is compatible with popular Web browsers such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and even Apple Safari. The file launches the IDM process through explorer.exe. This is the executable file for Microsoft Windows Explorer. If your computer is running on Windows 8 Enterprise, the most compatible file version for your OS is 6, 12, 21, 2. This file version has a general size of 3.37 MB. The file runs upon startup and has a startup name of “IDMan.”

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. idman.exe. is used by Internet Download Manager, If you shut down idman.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop idman.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Internet Download Manager, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Internet Download Manager, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application.
