What is  hwapi.exe

McAfee HackerWatch Service is the service name of the process hwapi.exe, which is an executable or EXE file, and a component of the software product called McAfee HackerWatch Service, Mcafee Firewall, and other security programs created by McAfee Inc. Basically, the hwapi.exe file is an important component, and because it is digitally signed from McAfee, Inc. - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer, this module must not be deleted or stopped unless it is causing problems that affect the function of the program that bundles it, or the computer system performance. In addition, hwapi.exe is a Windows file, which means it works or runs in most versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, otherwise known as Windows operating systems, or simply Windows OS, which include later versions, like Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.
