The process htv.007 is a Windows dll file associated with the software Ardamax Keylogger by Ardamax Software. However, this file is recognized by most antivirus programs as a malware, such as in Symantec (Spyware.Ardakey) and TrendMicro (GRAY_Generic). The process is usually associated with the activity of the Ardamax Keylogger which is a keystroke recorder used to track down or monitor computer usage. It can capture the keyestrokes as well as other activity of the users (opening/creating files, installing software, accessing websites, etc.) and saves it to an encrypted log file. The log files can be directed to an email email address for future references. The presence of the file htv.007 as an active process in the computer means that a keylogger or a keystroke recorder is actively running in the background. The process htv.007 is placed into the machine’s system upon installation of Ardamax Keylogger, allowing the access of the software to the PC’s hardware components to be able to create a log on the computer’s usage.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. htv.007. is used by Ardamax Keylogger, If you shut down htv.007, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop htv.007, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Ardamax Keylogger, from your system.
