The hsfpwcfg.exe is an executable file component of the HSF Power Config Application, a configuration application of HSF modems that are primarily PCI plugin cards for desktop computers and other modems for internal notebooks. These PCI plugin cards provide full range of industrial data products and use terminal modules and software system support for industrial requirements with multifunction, isolated and non-isolated IO, counter and analog IO. These PCI plugin cards functions with Machine Automation applications that feature analog IO and isolated and non-isolated IO. The analog IO are used by users for continuous streaming of data of A/D samples to host memory and featuring optional voltages, board ID and current output. Isolated IO are for switch and relay controlling and monitoring, CMOS logical signal sensing, Parallel data transfer, DTL, TTL, and indicator LED driving. Isolated IO meanwhile contain the PCI-bus, PC/104, ISA-bus and other PCI platforms. The hsfpwcfg.exe is implemented in the system by initially configuring the setting of the HSF Power program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hsfpwcfg.exe. is used by HSF Power Config Application, If you shut down hsfpwcfg.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hsfpwcfg.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HSF Power Config Application, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as HSF Power Config Application, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
