A plug in is a software that gives additional functionalities to the web browser like displaying content which the browser does not usually do. Imaging devices like those manufactured by a Hewlett Packard (HP) requires an Installer Plug In to enable the user to enjoy the benefits of such software. The hpzstub.exe file is an HP Installer Plug In. It is a file created for Microsoft Windows. The file is executable so upon startup, it will run in the background and the user can see it in the Task Manager. HP printing and scanning software driver is necessary for HP printer, scanner and other imaging devices. The user will always have to install the correct software driver for the appropriate HP device. HP Installer Plug In is significant in successfully installing the software. If there is conflict with the HP software setup installer or if the installer does not comply with the new Microsoft Internet Explorer version, the Installer Plug In will stop working.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hpzstub.exe. is used by HP Installer, If you shut down hpzstub.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hpzstub.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HP Installer, from your system.
