HP Quick Launch WMI Service, sometimes referred to plainly as HP Quick Launch, is the process name of the Windows file hpwmisvc.exe, which is a part of the program HP Quick Launch, or known as HPAsset component for HP Active Support, and is developed by Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P., or Hewlett-Packard, or HP. HP Quick Launch is a type of software that lets a user enable the menu control of most utility tools and features of HP laptops and notebooks, including volume, internal and external display, mute on and off, as well as external Easy Access Buttons Keyboard. Like other components, the hpwmisvc.exe file is installed, once the software is downloaded onto the computer, and automatically runs in the background of the system during Windows startup, and also manually launched. Because of its essence, the hpwmisvc.exe file has to remain stored onto the Windows computer, regardless of the operating system used.
