The hpqsrmon.exe file is the executable process that loads the HP Photosmart Essential Image Unloader application. This program runs in the background with a system tray icon indicating activity, monitoring the tasks in the machine thru the printer unit’s memory card or USB port which stores photos and images. HP Photosmart Essential Productivity Suite is bundled with photo downloading function, photo editing, as well as photo printing features. With the default tasks the program has, the user can also utilize the System Tray icon by double-clicking, and configure the program for connecting media detection in the computer’s USB ports. HP Photosmart Essential Image Unloader normally takes 2megabytes to 7megabytes of memory. The user can also use the memory card of the printer and its LCD display for printing photos, if he does not prefer browsing the photos stored in the computer. This is done by connecting a USB cable from the printer to the USB port of the computer.

To stop hpqsrmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HpqSRmon, from your system.
