The hpqimzone.exe process is the executable file for HP Imaging Module, the software that is installed alongside HP Scanners. HP Imaging Module provides configuration options in support for HP imaging devices. The hpqimzone.exe file is not among Windows essential components, but it is not recommended to terminate it unless it is causing problems. HP Imaging tools: 1) Automated installer that is compatible with different platforms 2) Graphical toolbox for tool and faxing which allows device configuration, scanning and printing. 3) Command-line utilities for device configuration and device adding. The HP Scan features and functions are: 1) Input a) ADF or Automatic Document Feeder - allows multiple paper sheets on the platen glass, no need of manually placing each piece of paper. b) Duplex scanning – capability to scan either sides of a paper without user intervention. c) Document retrieval from archive and it as “new” scan 2) Output a) Multiple transfer methods – FTP, email, NFS, Twain, etc. b) Scan file formats – PDF, Jpeg, TIFF, etc. c) Security of scanned images and documents – PDF encryption and digital signatures

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hpqimzone.exe. is used by HP Image Zone, If you shut down hpqimzone.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hpqimzone.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HP Image Zone, from your system.
