The hostie.dll file is the process called Zangor or Hotbar or Seekmo that is used by the application Zango or Hotbar or Seekmo that is created by Zango. A dynamic link library [DLL] file is an application that has functions that can be used by other programs. It is easy to install and arrange. This DLL file is a BHO [browser helper object] that automatically runs when you launch the Internet browser. Personal firewalls often do no stop the activities of BHOs because the firewall detects the BHO as the browser itself. This is one reason why spyware and adware often use BHOs. The hostie.dll file can monitor or alter the behavior of Internet Explorer. It is not a core file for Windows. It does not use a visible window. Zango is formerly known as Epipo, Hotbar and 180solutions. It is a company that offers users access to tools, games, videos and other utilities for viewing targeted advertising on their computers in return. It is an adware. Zango is founded by brothers Ken and Keith Smith. Zango stopped its trading in April 2009. Zango content includes erotic videos, comedy, sports, dance, screensavers and online games.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hostie.dll. is used by Zango/ Hotbar/ Seekmo, If you shut down hostie.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hostie.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Zango/ Hotbar/ Seekmo, from your system.
