The hlsw.exe file is the process HLSW used by he application HLSW created by Timo Stripf for Stripf Software. This program uses a visible window. It is not a core file for Windows. The program connects to the Internet or LAN through open ports. It can record inputs, connect to the Internet and monitor programs. HLSW [Half-Life Server Watch] is a game administration utility that supports remote administration of Half-Life and its modifications. It allows you to view players in a game server without the need to join the server. It now supports not only the game Half-Life but more than 100 other games including Call of Duty, Quake and Unreal Tournament. It lets you search for online servers. It offers a tree system to filter servers. It updates to messenger status automatically. It lets you chat and share servers with friends. You can see them when they are online or playing. It supports customized plug-ins. It can show your game statistics. There is available code sample for homepages and forums.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hlsw.exe. is used by HLSW, If you shut down hlsw.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hlsw.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HLSW, from your system.
