What is  hidfind.exe

The process is called Alps Pointing-device Driver from the software of the same name; and its executable file is hidfind.exe. The file is the core component of the device driver for most laptop touch pads; where uninstalling it will render your touch pad practically useless. The file is typically already pre-installed on your laptop. It also gives users the option to configure their touch pad is they do not want to use its default settings. The file executes through appoint.exe, a parent process from Alps. File version 7.0.0.29 runs on a 32-bit Windows platform. This version has a size of 48.1 kilobytes. RAM space utilization is pegged at approximately 1.96 MB. Typical location on disk is C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\hidfind.exe. The file can be configured to automatically disengage if a mouse is connected to the laptop. In most cases, the file already automatically terminates when a mouse is attached to the laptop. In some instances, you have to manually configure it to terminate automatically.
