A process commonly known as HControlUser from the software ATK Hotkey and installed through the executable hcontroluser.exe file, is generally pre-loaded on Asus laptops although you may also find it pre-installed in laptops of other brands. Generally, the file’s main responsibility is to enable the hotkeys on your laptop. The process allows users to use the FN shortcut keys to launch command applications. You can use the keys to control your audio volume, adjust the brightness of your screen display, put your laptop in standby or sleep mode, enable NumLock or ScrnLock, and also switch from one network connectivity to another. The software is published by ASUS. It has an approximate size of 102.55 KB. The original file name of the process is HControlUser.exe. Typical path on disk is C:\Program Files\ASUS\ATK Package\ATK Hotkey\hcontroluser.exe. File version 1, 0, 50, 1 runs as a 64-bit program, and is compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
