The hbtoeaddon.exe file is a process used by the application Hotbar Outlook Tools developed by Hotbar.com. This program runs when you boot Windows. It uses the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. It is not system process. Hotbar Outlook Tools is included in the browser and system enhancement suite called Hotbar Web Tools package or Hotbar provided by Websites such as Wowpapers.com, Hotbar.com and ShopperReports.com. The Outlook Tools is part of the Hotbar toolbar that is the main feature of Hotbar. Outlook Tools provides add-ons for Microsoft Outlook Express and Outlook E-mail applications. Adware is a program that is supported by advertising. It shows advertisements automatically for the author of the software to earn revenue. These ads may be displayed on the program user interface or as screen presentation while the user installs the software. Adware is designed to analyze the sites that the user visits in order to determine and present the ads that are related to their interests.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hbtoeaddon.exe. is used by Hotbar Outlook Tools, If you shut down hbtoeaddon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hbtoeaddon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Hotbar Outlook Tools, from your system.
