The hbhostie.dll file is the process called HbHostIE Module that is used by the application Hotbar Web Tools developed by Hotbar.com. It is not a system process. This process file is a dynamic link library or DLL. A DLL file has a mechanism of shared code and data that can be used by different applications at the same time that means it can be reused or reorganized into a module to save disk space and memory. It is easy to install and arrange. This DLL file is a BHO or browser helper object that automatically starts when you run the Internet browser. Personal firewalls often do not stop the activities of BHOs because the firewall detects the BHO as the browser itself. The hbhostie.dll file can monitor the Internet browser. Hotbar Web Tools package or Hotbar is a browser and system enhancement collection that you install from ShopperReports.com, Hotbar.com and Wowpapers.com. This collection of tools and add-ons includes an Internet Explorer browser toolbar.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hbhostie.dll. is used by Hotbar Web Tools, If you shut down hbhostie.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hbhostie.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Hotbar Web Tools, from your system.
