The hasplms.exe process is also known as the Sentinel HASP License Manager Service and it is owned by the SafeNet Inc. Its product belongs to HASP License Manager Service and the file is digitally signed from the Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher. The process runs as a background Windows service which is called the Sentinel Local License Manager (hasplms). It also runs as a SYSTEM account with broad privileges on the user’s computer and can act as the primary computer on the network. The hasplms.exe process (Sentinel Local License Manager) can be executed as a program that can be started by the Service Controller and obeys to the service control protocol. The process can run by itself. This program contains considerable privileges on the local computer. It is not recommended that the file be admonished from the user’s computer system and therefore, this file should remain within its place. The PC might suffer from unexpected error if the file is erased.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hasplms.exe. is used by Sentinel HASP License Manager Service, If you shut down hasplms.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hasplms.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Sentinel HASP License Manager Service, from your system.
