The file googlecalendarsync.exe, known as Google Calendar Sync, belongs to software Google Calendar Sync by Google. This application is developed by Google to keep both Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendar fully synced. Users can choose the option for synchronizing the calendars, which can be done either one-way from Google to Outlook, one-way from Outlook to Google, or two-way between Google and Outlook. Google Calendar Sync features an icon on the system tray that can be set to synchronize events according to the users preferred periods, including frequency of synchronizations. Google Calendar Sync will only synchronize events between the primary Google calendar and the default Microsoft Outlook calendar, but does not support synchronization of events from secondary calendars. This application can also synchronize Google calendar with iOS device, Android smartphones, Mozilla Sunbird, and Apple iCal. Google has discontinued support for Google Calendar Sync but existing users can continue to use the application to sync with Microsoft Outlook calendar.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. googlecalendarsync.exe. is used by Google Calendar Sync, If you shut down googlecalendarsync.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop googlecalendarsync.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Google Calendar Sync, from your system.
