The gom.exe process serves as the executable dispatcher file of the GOM Player software, which was developed by Gretech. This means when the gom.exe file is activated by the user, the content stored in the gom.exe file is referenced by the system in order to load the GOM Player software. The content of the gom.exe file includes sequential command lines, application-specific directives, program-specific module instructions and modular system resource references that are used by the gom.exe process to call on other program files, application modules and system modular resources and reference the data stored in those files and modules, in order to completely load all functionalities integrated into the GOM Player software into the system. The gom.exe process and the GOM Player video and multimedia content playback application are implemented with support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gom.exe. is used by GOM Player, If you shut down gom.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gom.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is GOM Player, from your system.
