The file glass2k1.exe is a process that belongs to software Glass2k from Chime Software. The application is a tool that can make any window in Windows 2000 and Windows XP transparent. The program is created in Visual Basic and requires for operation Visual Basic 6 runtime DLLs and a fast graphics card with 8 MB or more onboard RAM. Right clicking on any window or pressing the keyboard shortcuts will make any window transparent. Once the program is running and the icon is shown in the system tray, the key combination Control +Shift +9 will provide the least transparency, while the combination Control +Shift +1 will provide the maximum transparency. The user can also right click on any window and select the transparency value from the Glass2k Transparency popup menu. Clicking on Save enables Glass2k to remember a window's transparency settings. To save the transparency settings for all windows, click on the Settings option Auto-Remember every window's Transparency Settings.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. glass2k1.exe. is used by Glass2k, If you shut down glass2k1.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop glass2k1.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Glass2k, from your system.
