What is  gidd.exe

The gidd.exe process or the GuardedID is an executable file developed, installed and associated with StrikeForce Technologies and is a part of Comcast’s Constant Guard Protection Suite. This process is a startup entry and not an actual running process, though it may make an appearance in the Task Manager when it runs after the startup. This startup entry is automatically started from RunServices, Run, or RunOnce entry in the registry system. Keystrokes encryption and anti-keylogging technology are related to GuardedID in order to protect the user from identity theft over the Internet system. There are reports that the process gidd.exe presents considerable problems for several users; when this occurs, it is advisable to uninstall the program instead of disabling the startup. The gidd.exe process has a run identifier as ‘GIDDesktop’ which are used to automatically launch an application in the Windows operating system for Windows user within his or her computer system. This process is considered safe to operate within the computer system.

How can I stop gidd.exe and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gidd.exe. is used by GuardedID, If you shut down gidd.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gidd.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is GuardedID, from your system.
