The file gg.exe, known as Gadu-Gadu - program glowny, belongs to software Gadu-Gadu. Gadu-Gadu (GG), the Polish word for chitchat, is an instant messaging client with a proprietary protocol that is popular in Poland. This application uses its own proprietary protocol that identifies users with a unique serial number. In addition to Instant Messaging services, GG supports file sharing, conference and voice chat, and also features a casual gaming portal with many active users. It provides automatic updates to users and ensures security by protecting passwords against unauthorized read in the configuration file. The application is skinnable and uses a tabbed chat window, and has the ability to play radio without installing additional software. Other features include integrated avatars with MojaGeneracja (MyGeneration) services, spelling checker, instant contacts search bar, and anti-spam filter. GG is free but it is also adware that displays popups while it is being used.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gg.exe. is used by Gadu-Gadu, If you shut down gg.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gg.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Gadu-Gadu, from your system.
