The file getmodule30.exe is a process that belongs to software My Book Device Driver. My Book is a hard drive from Western Digital (WD) that must be connected to the computer via USB port. Western Digital Corporation (WD) is the second largest manufacturer of computer hard disk drives after Seagate, and has a long history in the electronics industry as an integrated circuit maker and a storage products company. The process getmodule30.exe is an executable file that supports the driver for the My Book storage device from WD. My Book is a series of external hard drives produced by WD, which is designed to look like a standard black hardbound book. My Book drives originally feature vent holes on the top that spell out a message in Morse code. The series of My Book include the Essential Edition drive that has an intelligent PowerManagement feature that stops the drive platters after ten minutes of inactivity rather than the usual expedient of slowing them down, and turns on and off with the computer that it is attached to.
