What is  getflash.dll

The file getflash.dll, known as FlashGet GetFlash Module, belongs to software FlashGet (JetCar) by www.flashget.com. FlashGet, formerly JetCar from the literal translation of the Chinese equivalent phrase, is freeware download manager for Microsoft Windows. It is available as paid or ad-supported version, the latter of which includes an Internet Explorer Browser Helper Object (BHO). FlashGet integrates with Web browsers such as Google Chrome, Avant Browser, Opera, SeaMonkey, Internet Explorer, Maxthon, Mozilla Firefox, and Netscape. It can download from multiple sites, splitting files to download into sections and downloading each section simultaneously to accelerate the process. It has an integrated offline reader and supports FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, BitTorrent, RTST, and Microsoft Media Services. Because of the BHO that is installed with the freeware version, FlashGet has suffered from security flaws in its update mechanism that caused users to become infected with Trojans.
