The Genie Backup Manager Pro software and the Genie Backup Assistant application are data backup and disaster recovery tools that include the gbmagent.exe file in their installation distributions as among its executable program files. The gbmagent.exe file is an executable process that is implemented with support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows, and the gbmagent.exe process contains source code that is integrated with program logic compilation specifications and data encoding standards normally used for content stored in the EXE file format. The content of the gbmagent.exe file includes program logic data comprised of sequential command lines, application-specific instructions, program-specific modular directives and system resource module references that are used by the Genie Backup Manager Pro software and the Genie Backup Assistant program for implementing some of its integrated functionalities. These applications and the gbmagent.exe process are embedded with compatibility support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gbmagent.exe. is used by Genie Backup Manager Pro and Genie Backup Assistant, If you shut down gbmagent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gbmagent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Genie Backup Manager Pro and Genie Backup Assistant, from your system.
