The gammatray.exe file is also called as the GammaTray MFC and is part of the MagicTune Premium software. Upon installation of the MagicTune Premium software, the user can see the icon for the EXE file on the taskbar beside the clock. MagicTune Premium is installed along with Samsung LCD monitor driver. Gammatray.exe provides the immediate and fast access to the configurations and settings for the Samsung device. The EXE file aides the user to easily adjust the color, image, brightness and other configuration settings. It makes the MagicTune software an advance program which optimizes the display settings of the device where it has been installed. The software uses a Graphic User Interface that boasts of many features used in configuring the display setting. The software also uses an advanced display technology known as Display Data Channel Command Interface. It is a protocol that allows the user to control monitor settings by signal cable.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gammatray.exe. is used by MagicTune, If you shut down gammatray.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gammatray.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is MagicTune, from your system.
