GoToMyPC Pre-Launcher Plugin is the service name of the process g2pre.exe, a type of executable (EXE) file, and is a component of the program GoToMyPC, which is created by Citrix Online, a division of the company Citrix Systems. GoToMyPC is basically a remote control application, which is designed and used to allow a user to access and operate his or her computer from another virtual machine through the Internet. What the GoToMyPC Pre-Launcher Plugin process does is to enable a user instantly access and manage the main computer, by logging onto the main website of GoToMyPC. This software product is installed onto the main computer, to enable the accessing of it from another PC, so g2pre.exe is a file that is included within the program, and is executed by another process called g2comm.exe. The g2pre.exe file is also able to launch other modules within the software, and must not be terminated to enables its function. In addition, this file has a digital signature from Citrix Online - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. g2pre.exe. is used by GoToMyPC, If you shut down g2pre.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop g2pre.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is GoToMyPC, from your system.
