What is freeshade.exe
The freeshade.exe file is the process called FreeShade used by the application HmmnSoft FreeShade developed by HmmnSoft. This is not a system process that originates from the software installed in the system. It is not a core file for Windows that means the operating system can run without requiring this process. There is no visible window for this program. This program loads when you boot Windows. The registry key for this process is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. This process can alter or control the behavior of applications. It records inputs. FreeShade is an application that offers window shading for Windows. When you double-click a caption on a window, window shading rolls the window up so only the caption or title bar becomes visible. The freeshade.exe file has no digital signature. This process automatically starts on all users startup startmenu, running processes or on current user autorun registry entries.
