The freememory.exe file is the process called Vista Manager- Free Memory that is used by the application Vista Manager created by Yamicsoft. It is not a core file for Windows that means the operating system can run without requiring this process. It is a non-system process that comes from the software installed in the system. Vista Manager is a system utility that optimizes and cleans up Windows Vista system. It includes more than thirty different tools to make the system secure, personal, fast and stable. It can provide hardware and system information details, improve the speed of Windows startup and shutdown, search and clean junk files, find duplicated files, defrag and checkup the registry and repair incorrect links. It optimizes the speed of your Internet connection and checks invalid URLs automatically. It also enables you to decrypt, encrypt or shred files.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. freememory.exe. is used by Vista Manager, If you shut down freememory.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop freememory.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Vista Manager, from your system.
