The fotomatdeviceconnect.exe file is the main process of the Fotomat Auto Import application created by Viewpoint Corporation. This process is associated with files such as viewpointphotosdeviceconnect.ico, viewbar.dll, vetscriptinterpreter.dll, swfview.dll, ieviewbar.dll and fotomatshellext.dll. It works with these files to enable users to extract digital images and photos from video imaging devices and digital cameras. This process does not use a visible window. Fotomat Auto Import functions as the device handling application for Fotomat software. Fotomat is a visible button on the Viewpoint Toolbar. This online application lets you organize, view, edit and upload images. It opens a browser for users to print and enhance their pictures once the fotomatdeviceconnect.exe process imports the digital images from the camera. Fotomat also gives users options to compile pictures into an album, share them or integrate them into a video.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fotomatdeviceconnect.exe. is used by Fotomat Auto Import, If you shut down fotomatdeviceconnect.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fotomatdeviceconnect.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Fotomat Auto Import, from your system.
