The process termed as fmstart.exe is known by the service name GFI FAXmaker Client 12, and is a component of the software product GFI FAXmaker Client (version 12) or FAXmaker Client (version 12), which is developed by GFI, which is considered a Microsoft Gold Partner. The GFI FAXmaker Client program, or otherwise known as FAXmaker Client, is used to integrate to the Microsoft PABX system, Microsoft Exchange server that acts as a virtual fax machine, allowing users to send and receive fax documents through the computer, instead of the traditional fax machine. As a component of the software, fmstart.exe is essential to run in the background, and as a Windows file, this module is downloadable in most versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems,including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fmstart.exe. is used by GFI FAXmaker Client (version 12) or FAXmaker Client, If you shut down fmstart.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fmstart.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is GFI FAXmaker Client (version 12) or FAXmaker Client, from your system.
