The executable process file firewall.exe is part of BitGuard Firewall which is identified as Ashampoo Firewall Pro (version 1.14) or Foxie Firewall that is also part of the software Ashampoo Firewall, Foxie Privacy Security, The Shield Firewall or Ashampoo Firewall Pro. The non-essential process for the operating system has been created by Danware Security and by others which includes Next Aisle, Team Foxie and Ashampoo GmbH and Co. KG. BitGuard Personal Firewall is a product by Danware Security developed of firewall software for Personal Computers. The process file also goes by the name of Anti-Hacker Expert Firewall which is created by NET2SOFT INC. is found in Program Files\BitGuard\Firewall\Firewall.Exe folder located in folder C:\Windows\System32. On Windows 7/XP, the file size is 425,729 bytes (20% of all incidences), 396,005 bytes and 24 other variants is considered to have no visible window, and neither is it a Windows core file. Upon Windows startup, the application begins with the Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\RunServices, and HKEY_USER\DEFAULT\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run. As a background, the process file has the ability to determine, record and observe computer activities.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. firewall.exe. is used by BitGuard Personal Firewall, If you shut down firewall.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop firewall.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is BitGuard Personal Firewall, from your system.
