What is  explorer.dll

The explorer.dll file is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module that has been reported by many users to contain malicious code. The malicious code stored in the explorer.dll module includes sequential lines of commands and application instructions that are related to Trojan and spyware-related activity as reported by users. The specific spyware and Trojan-related functionalities embedded unto the explorer.dll file that were reported by most users are keylogging capabilities. The pieces of data that are gathered by the explorer.dll file are then forwarded to predesignated Web servers, according to some users, which means the explorer.dll file is also integrated with remote network connection protocols that can be activated without user consent. The explorer.dll file is also implemented with compatibility code for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows, as all reports that the explorer.dll file is a malicious process were from Windows users.
