What is  expl0rer.exe

The file expl0rer.exe is an executable process in Microsoft Windows that is identified as backdoor Trojan Feutel-G. Troj/Feutel-G is a backdoor Trojan for the Windows platform that is usually installed from a screen saver sent through email. When the user opens the email, the attached executable will drop and run a legitimate screen saver application and install Troj/Feutel-G. This Trojan contains the backdoor functionalities that allow a remote user to access the computer's file systems, create screen and video captures, listen in on the infected computer, or download and upload files. It can open random ports in the infiltrated system that can be used by the author as passageway that can be used to drop copies of its files onto the user's hard disk. The Trojan Feutel-G is a replicating type of malware that drops a malicious payload into the system that will allow unauthorized access. It can inject itself to other files, steal information, and harm the host computer.
