The file etriskmon.exe, known as East-Tec Eraser, belongs to software East-Tec Eraser by East Technologies, which is online and personal privacy software. It protects the privacy of the user by erasing all files that store evidence of computer and Internet activities. In addition to privacy protection, this software also helps in optimizing the performance of the PC by deleting large amounts of unnecessary data that has accumulated and are probable causes of system slow down. The online privacy protection ensures that all information saved in the computer about Internet activities that include chat room activities, visited websites, downloaded materials, cookies, email messages, and temporary Internet files are completely erased. The fully customizable Privacy Guard Module that is a component of this application allows the user to set pre-configured defaults that will automatically erase information from Windows and from Internet browsing, but will not delete files that are needed for normal operation.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. etriskmon.exe. is used by East-Tec Eraser, If you shut down etriskmon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop etriskmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is East-Tec Eraser, from your system.
